Discover the art, beauty, and pleasure of creating your own decorative papers and a handbound book in this daylong bookart workshop. 

We will begin with an exploration of the historic process of pastepaper making and follow with a deep dive into longstitch bookbinding, an elegant, durable binding that reveals its stitching at the spine of the book. After creating practice models, we will use our handmade pastepapers as covers in personally-designed longstitch bound books.   

By the end of the workshop, everyone will leave with multiple sheets of beautiful pastepaper, a unique handbound book and illustrated handouts and skills to carry with them in future bookart dreams. Generous feedback, experimentation and play will be encouraged throughout!
